Hi, Summit families!

My name is Betsy Stoeber and I’ve been the owner and director at the specialized learning center Brain Balance of Summit since 2011. I first encountered Brain Balance the year before we opened as a parent. My own son participated in our innovative program at the center in Norwalk, CT, to address a number of learning challenges.

Traveling there three times per week for three months, I met other families making the trek across the GWB from NJ and together we celebrated our kids’ successes. Over 7+ years, my intense motivation to do what it would take to open a center here in the north-central NJ region has developed into a deep passion for informing parents about alternative approaches available to them to assist their struggling kids. I hope you find the information I’ll be providing via this column to be helpful to you.

Why should you care that there’s a Brain Balance center right here in Summit? I’m so glad to have the opportunity to answer that question for you!  It means you have local access to a cutting-edge, proven, medication-free approach to addressing the root cause of a wide range of issues that get in the way of kids’ success and happiness.  Here are some important details:

=>  The Brain Balance Program is a non-medical and drug-free approach to overcoming the challenges of ADHD, learning disabilities, processing disorders, Asperger Syndrome (ASD), and a host of other related childhood learning and developmental issues. Our integrated whole-child approach focuses on the whole child and combines physical and sensory-motor exercises with academic skill training, healthy nutrition and confidence building.

=> Our program works to address the root cause of many children’s challenges — functional disconnection, or an imbalance in the way the brain is developing and forging connections between its many regions — providing life-changing results for many enrolled students at our centers around the country.

=> Brain Balance is not a magic wand, but rather a blueprint that families can follow with a high degree of support to achieve real and permanent change in the way their kids are functioning and processing information. The program is a commitment, there’s no doubt about it, but one that is truly worthwhile.

=> Learning about the Brain Balance approach is, for some parents, a process.  We welcome you to come by our center to speak to us about our program at a time that works for you.  In the meantime, before we meet, we’re eager to provide you with information here in our column!

Our staff and I are personally available to answer any questions you may have -- you can reach us via summit@brainbalancecenters.com or by calling 908-517-1101.

As a parent, it is painful to watch your child struggle socially, behaviorally or academically. Brain Balance Achievement Center of Summit can help.

Finding the best way to help them is often a confusing and frustrating process. You’ve come to the right place, we have helped thousands of children, and we know how to identify the issues and set a path that addresses your child’s challenges.

Brain Balance establishes a unique plan for each child that includes sensory motor work, eye tracking, core exercises, academic skill training, healthy nutrition and many other activities that work to bolster a child’s developmental deficits. What is unique is that Brain Balance brings all these activities together in one program, including monitoring and reporting on a child’s progress.

It is a coordinated and systematic approach that is hard, if not impossible to find elsewhere. Many tell us that it’s the first time they have had a comprehensive, integrated plan that is set in place, tracked and reviewed for their child.

To reach us, call Betsy Stoeber at 908-517-1101 or contact summit@brainbalancecenters.com. Brain Balance Achievement Center of Summit is located at 33 Union Place, Second Floor.
