SUMMIT, NJ - Girls' Track and Field Team member Icisys Sadler and Boys' Varsity Wrestler Jack Hedges have been honored as Summit High School Athletes of the Week, presented by TAPinto Summit, for the week ending January 14.

Each week throughout the school athletic year, an athlete or athletes will be honored for distinguishing themselves in the arena of competition, in the classroom, and for demonstrating exemplary, Hilltopper-caliber sportsmanship and leadership qualities.

Speed-merchant Sadler brought home double gold, winning both the 55-meter hurdles and 55-meter dash at the Cliff Back Invitational at Drew University. The senior's hurdles time is the fourth fastest in the Garden State, and she also led the Hilltopper 4 x 200-meter Relay Team to a fifth place finish at the Union County Relays.

Hedges placed in his second tournament of the year, moving up in weight to snare third place in the Union County Tournament while wrestling at 195 pounds. The junior went 4-1 on the day to improve his season record to 13-6.
