Jefferson, Wilson Primary Center Tours Begin Nov. 13

SUMMIT, NJ - Tours for parents of prospective kindergarten and pre-kindergarten students will be conducted at both Jefferson School and Wilson School Primary Centers November 13 - 14 and December 4 - 6, respectively. Children who will be five-years-old by October 1, 2018, are eligible for Kindergarten, with children who will be three years of age by October 1, 2018, eligible for pre-kindergarten.

Tours are limited to parents only, with a maximum of 15 participants per tour. Interested parties are required to call their respective office to reserve a spot. Locations and dates are based upon home school assignment as follows:

Brayton & Jefferson Schools – Tour Jefferson Primary Center, 110 Ashwood Avenue

Washington & Franklin Schools – Tour Wilson Primary Center, 14 Beekman Terrace

November 14, 2017 and December 6, 2017 at 8:45 a.m.

Lincoln Hubbard School – Contact the Primary Center Office to determine the Primary Center location

All tours begin at 8:45 a.m. and last approximately one hour.   

Reservations to tour The Primary Center at Jefferson can be made by contacting Eileen Mortenson at 908-918-2160, ext. 6752. Reservations to tour The Primary Center at Wilson can be made by contacting Donna Schneider at 908-918-2175, ext. 6652.

02/01/2018, 7:26 am - FD dispatched to Route 78 East Bound mile marker 47.2 for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment and injuries. On arrival both the Springfield and Summit Fire Departments set up for extrication. The vehicle was chocked to stabilize the vehicle. EMS performed patient care. A hose line was stretched for possible fire suppression by the Berkeley Heights FD.
