UNION COUNTY, NJ - Income-eligible senior adults will be able to obtain free vouchers to purchase “Jersey Fresh” fruits, vegetables and herbs at local Farmers’ Markets in Union County. The vouchers are funded by the State of New Jersey Farmers’ Market Program, through the Union County Division on Aging and Disability Resource Connection in the Department of Human Services.

Each eligible senior will receive five vouchers worth $5 each, for a total of $25. The program was designed in four increments to enable seniors to purchase produce in smaller amounts, helping to ensure freshness.

To be eligible for the vouchers, an individual must be a resident of Union County, age 60-years or older, have an annual income that does not to exceed $22,311.00 for a single person or a combined / couple income of $30,044.00.
