SUMMIT, NJ - There's nothing trivial about this.

Building upon the success of last year’s fundraiser, the Junior League of Summit (JLS) will host its Second Annual Trivia Night on February 11 at Chatham Fish & Game.

“This is a really fun event with amazing participants. It is great to see how creative the teams get in their quest to top their friends’ costumes and table décor, vying for bonus points as they test their trivia knowledge. The competition is fierce and fun.  It is a wonderful opportunity to have a great night out with your friends and neighbors and interact with other community members, all while giving back to our community,” said Summit's Rachel Zucker, the event's chairwoman.

The Trivia Night fundraiser has quickly become an in-demand event that serves as JLS’s biggest annual fundraiser. The money raised at Trivia Night benefits JLS’s Annual Fund, supporting its community grants, scholarships and projects, such as the League’s newest initiative Giving and Receiving Assistance for Our Community's Essentials (GRACE).

The League created and maintains GRACE's Refrigerator, a fresh food pantry and GRACE's Closet, coordinating the donation of clothing, sporting goods, or household goods to families in need. Most recently, the League launched GRACE's Backpack, a weekend food distribution program for 68 families of food insecure students. 

“The money raised by Trivia Night will provide an immediate and tangible impact on local families in need of our help and support. We are extremely proud of the significance that GRACE has had to date and are excited to see how much more we can do with the funds being raised through this event,” said Summit's Michelle DeMuth, JLS President.

The festivities will include lively competition among the teams in various trivia categories, as well as interactive bonus rounds and extra points for best team themes and table décor.

The evening will feature Adam Zucker, host of CBSSports’ College Football Today, as the competition's emcee. 

The event is open to the public, with non-League members encouraged to participate. Registration is now open and tables are limited. Teams of up to ten people may register for a table for an entrance fee of $500. All competitors must be 21 or older.
