SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Junior Fortnightly Club's 'Tot Trot,' which this year will benefit The Brooke Healey Foundation, is set to run June 5 at Summit's Memorial Field, beginning at 11 a.m.

'Tot Trot' -- with a motto of 'Kids Running for Kids' -- is an annual fundraising event featuring games of all kinds, a trackless train, petting zoo, moon bounces, refreshments and more, culminating in a fun run for kids ages 2 to 10.

Over the past 37 years, 'Tot Trot' has raised tens of thousands of dollars for local non-profit organizations, offering the opportunity for families to make a positive difference in the lives of others, and helping the community's children understand the importance of supporting those around them.

The Brooke Healey Foundation was created after New Providence parents, Steve and Stefani Healey’s 5 year-old daughter, Brooke, passed away in 2013from Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), an inoperable, aggressive tumor in the middle of the brain stem.

The Brooke Healey Foundation was created to build awareness and support other families with pediatric cancers, especially DIPG. In addition to research and awareness, the Brooke Healey Foundation funds scholarships to civically active high school seniors.
