A French breakfast buffet was served at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School March 2 to welcome French students who were visiting Summit as part of Academic Adventures in America, a company founded by longtime Summit resident Rose Jackson.

Pictured at the breakfast are, from left, LCJSMS French teacher Mary Lockshin, who organized the event and a day at the school for the French visitors; LCJSMS seventh grader Claudia Hanley, whose family is hosting French student Sophie Barial (standing next to Claudia), also a seventh grader; and Matt Block, LCJSMS principal.

The French students, who live outside Paris, arrived in the U.S. on February 21 for a two-week visit.
