SUMMIT, NJ - The League of Women Voters of Summit, Berkeley Heights and New Providence, in a programs designed to coincide with April being 'Environmental Awareness Month', will present Environment New Jersey director Doug O'Malley, who will speak on local environments issues specific to the area April 6 at The DeCorso Community Center in New Providence.

O’Malley has worked on a broad array of environmental issues over the last 15 years in Trenton. His work has included campaigns to protect New Jersey’s waterways from fracking waste, to clean-up New Jersey’s air, build public support for the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) to combat global warming, fast-tracking New Jersey’s clean energy economy through expansion of solar, off-shore, wind and energy efficiency, and fighting against the expansion of fossil fuel projects around the state.
