If you aren’t quite sure what to get your mother for Mother’s Day this year, perhaps a gift in her honor would be something that she’d appreciate. SAGE Eldercare is inviting the public to give “Tribute Gifts” to a loved one in support of the programs and services offered to local older adults, their families and caregivers.
“Your tax-deductible donation to SAGE helps us support our fourteen services, ranging from HomeCare to Meals On Wheels to our Spend-A-Day Adult Day Health Center and more,” stated Dawn Knill, CFRE, Director of Development at SAGE. “A tribute gift is an appropriate and lasting way to turn your fond memories and love for your mom, grandma, sister or aunt, into a memorable tribute.” Tribute gifts can also be given to mark an important milestone, in honor of a person’s accomplishments, anniversary, wedding, graduation, birthday or other special occasions.
When you give a tribute gift to SAGE:
- The person you are honoring will be notified that a gift has been made; the amount is not specified.
- The honoree and contributor will be listed in SAGE’s annual report.
- An acknowledgment from SAGE will be sent, thanking you for your tax-deductible gift.
- SAGE Eldercare uses the gifts to underwrite a significant portion of the general operating budget of the non-profit organization.
To give a tribute gift, please contact Dawn Knill at 908.598.5503 or email email@example.com. Secure online donations can be made at www.sageeldercare.org. SAGE Eldercare’s Federal Tax ID number is 221657929.
SAGE Eldercare supports the independence, well-being and quality of life of older adults, their families and caregivers, through the provision of client-centered health, social and support services. Founded in 1954, SAGE is one of the few non-profit eldercare agencies in the United States, and the oldest in New Jersey, that offers a broad and comprehensive array of services under one roof that assist elderly, often frail, adults to remain independent in their own homes.
Programs at SAGE Eldercare include: HomeCare; Meals On Wheels; Spend-A-Day Adult Day Health Center; GPS (Guidance, Planning and Support) Services; InfoCare free information and referral service; Fall Prevention Initiative; Home Repair Service; Grocery Shopping and Errand Service; Bill Paying Service; Holistic Living Services; Alzheimer’s and PREP caregiver support groups; Community Education; and Union County Medicare SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program). In addition, SAGE has operated a Furniture Restoration Workshop, run by volunteers who specialize in caning and rushing chairs and refinishing furniture, and a Resale Shop for more than 50 years. Both provide essential funding that supports the organization’s programs and services for older adults in the community.
SAGE Eldercare serves 7,000 people throughout Union, Essex, Morris and Somerset Counties, as well as across the United States. For more information, call 908.273.5550 or visit www.sageeldercare.org.
