Make 'Pops' Tops by Giving Dad a HAT Holiday

This year be sure to make Summit's legendary Grand Summit Hotel a part of your Father’s Day celebration. A lot of dads like to stay close to home and enjoy the day with family and friends, and the Hotel and The HAT Tavern would love to be a part of his special day.

The fun starts at The HAT Tavern with a variety of specials for each night of Father’s Day weekend starting with all-you-can-eat Prime Rib on Friday night for just $15 and a free bite-sized dessert sampler.

Saturday is not to be missed with The HAT’s famous Slider Hat Tricks featuring new additions the Jam Burger Slider, and the Chipotle Chicken Slider to go with the classic Cheese Burger Slider.

Join us Sunday for your choice of our famous Father’s Day BBQ Sunday Brunch. Our traditional Seafood Station / Raw Bar will be front and center -- with its selection of Shrimp, Crab Claws, and Oysters – as will our Chef-Attended Omelet Station with Omelets made to order. This year’s spread is sure to put a smile on dads face with a selection of Potato, Macaroni, and Sliced Cucumber & Red Onion Salad along with our signature Cole Slaw.

Our array of Hot Chafers will not disappoint dad as we roll out an impressive selection which includes Carved Prime Rib, Honey Strung Fried Chicken, Italian Sausage & Peppers, Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, Fresh Corn on the Cobb, Baked Beans, and our Dessert spread which includes Cakes, Cookies, and Mini Pastries from our Pastry Shoppe.

On the beverage side, dad’s choice of a Bloody Mary, 'Manmosa', or a Glass of Champagne accompanies a selection of juices, coffee, and tea.

If your plans call for dinner at The HAT after a day out with dad, our evening HAT Tricks will focus on our famous Wings and Pat LaFrieda Burgers. Head Bartender Scott Robertson will have an impressive list of beverage offerings to go along with our extensive list of Craft Beer offerings.

New to the mix of cocktail offerings is the 'High Binder' boasting 10-year Bourbon Russel Reserve, 12-year Rum Real McCoy, Carpano Antica, Grand Marnier, Angostura & Orange Bitters.

Another new favorite is the 'Cat Burglar' with highlights including 12-year Whiskey Red Breast, St. Germaine Liquer, Brut Champagne, Lemon, and an Angostura Sugar Cube.

Need a night away from the Jersey Shore traffic? Go the opposite way and check into The Grand Summit Hotel at the special rate of $125 for two including a Full American Breakfast Buffet the following morning, passes to Equinox Sports Club, and a custom beer glass and growler filled with the beer of your choice from our brand new Arts & Crafts Lobby Bar located in the hotel lobby.

The spring and summer months are a wonderful time of year to enjoy all that Summit has to offer with the hotel serving as your personal host in a Bed and Breakfast type setting.

Relax by the pool or take a stroll into one of the state's most vibrant downtown settings offering more than 40 restaurants and bars, boutique shopping, and direct train service to midtown Manhattan just steps away. Sundays in downtown Summit include one of the area’s most popular and well-attended Farmers Markets to go with a wide selection of things to do.

With 149 guest accommodations and over 10,000 square feet of recently-renovated event space, The Grand Summit Hotel -- the shining star in the town of Summit -- remains one of the area’s most prestigious addresses for social and corporate events.

The hotel’s culinary reputation is unmatched in the area and has been extended to the wildly popular HAT Tavern in the hotel’s lower level. The management team built on this success recently with the grand opening of the Arts and Crafts Lobby Bar serving private label coffee and espresso, Ironbound Nitro Brewed Iced Coffee, a selection of hard to find craft beers, and wine.

The Grand Summit Hotel is located at 570 Springfield Avenue in Summit, New Jersey 07901. For more information call the hotel at 908-273-3000 or visit our website at
