SUMMIT, NJ - Senior captain Michael Acitelli won his 100th career match, and the Summit High School Varsity Wrestling Team won two out of three matches at their home quad match at the Main Gym.

Summit defeated Chatham 41-15 winning all but one contested match, with Acitelli, Rhajon Venable and Quinn Halper picking up victories.

The Hilltoppers dropped a 48-31 decision to Irvington, despite contested wins from Acitelli, Phillip Angelo, Halper, Danny Petrela, Venable and Dan Cambronero. Forty-two walkover points surrendered to Irvington proved the difference, with Summit winning the head-to-head battle 31-6.

Summit defeated Orange 42-30 as Acitelli won his third match of the day, and was joined by Angelo, Petrela and Cambronero as contested-match victors.

Next up for Summit is the NJSIAA District Tournament February 18 at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School.
