If it's a Monday night in autumn, it's gotta be some time for... golf?

Yes, luminous golf balls and illuminated golf holes mean that 'glow in the dark golf' is coming to the Summit Municipal Golf Course October 2, at 6 p.m., to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the venerable par-3 track. The event is open to all Summit residents and golf course members, ages 13 and older. Golfers ages 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration through Community Pass is required, with the event fee of $25 per person for the five-hole round. Golfers can sign up individually or as a foursome, and can make a note in Community Pass with the names of the other players in their group. Individual participants will be placed in a group.

Each group is requested to bring a flashlight. The rain date for the event is Monday, October 9. For more information, call 908-277-2932.

The Summit Municipal Golf Course is located at 189 River Road.

Dougherty is The Only Candidate

I have been living in Summit for 15+ years and moved into my current neighborhood 9 years ago. As for most of us you are concerned about your immediate neighbors and it did not take long to learn how great this little neighborhood in Summit is. The Actual Motivations Behind 'Jonny-Come-Lately’s' Sudden Advocacy of Affordable Housing

October 19, 2017

Creating a public outcry can look good in the papers, but Jon Bramnick knows exactly what he is doing. If Bramnick truly cared about overdevelopment, he would have been vocal on this subject for the last 7 years. Rather, this is a political ploy to keep the issue in the courts where the builders will surely prevail. His “Jonny-Come-Lately” hullabaloo is nothing more than a ruse to ...

Let's Not Stand Still and Be Complacent

As with many suburban communities, Summit is at a crossroads. What direction we decide to take will have a profound impact not only during the next few years but possibly for decades. At last week’s candidate forum, what I heard was that our opponents are generally satisfied with the status quo and offered little in the way of concrete ideas for improvements.

While I love ...

It's Always About Service

Recently, I had this customer come in for some suspension repairs... The customer told me that this car was only serviced at Lexus but they were tired of getting ripped off so they came to me.
