SUMMIT, NJ - The Connection for Women and Families celebrated their preschool “Moving Up” Ceremony, as the four and five year-olds will now be off to kindergarten in the fall.

After a procession of graduates, the ceremony began with a song, rehearsed by the preschoolers in class. The children were then called up individually, where they received their diploma, as well as a superlative.

The young scholars each rang a bell upon receiving their diploma, commemorating their transition to the next grade. Family and friends cheered as their graduates performed a dance to “You’ve Got a Friend,” and then enjoyed refreshments after the ceremony.

The preschoolers spent the year working on letters, numbers, and colors, but their favorite activity was show and tell, as the children loved sharing something from home with all their friends in class.
