SUMMIT, NJ - Expecting her first child, Summit resident Erica Finnan was looking, unsuccessfully, to find comfortable, chic maternity wear in the area.   She discovered that there were no shops in the vicinity that provided quality clothing that could be worn not only during all phases of her pregnancy, but afterwards as well.

After her daughter's arrival, she continued shopping online in stores all across the United States and Europe, purchasing well-made, unique clothing and toys.  Commiserating -- and strategizing -- with her childhood pal, Amanda Murray, they decided to open a concept shop in Summit offering well-crafted goods for little ones and moms-to-be.
Thus, Murray & Finn was born.  Finnan's husband picked the name, with all agreeing that they wanted the moniker to end on one syllable.
Located at 46 Maple Street, Murray & Finn offers maternity and nursing wear, and children's clothing for newborns through 7 years, along with toys and accessories.  Carrying merchandise they describe as "unique and timeless," the two partners source merchandise locally, domestically, and internationally.

Carrying brands such as Nico Nico, Anais & I, Bobo Choses, Sara Noelle, and Tin Cottons, which come from diverse locales such as London, Paris, California, Spain, New York, and Short Hills, the merchandise mix -- like the store's interior -- is stylish, but comfortable as well.
Their maternity offerings include tops, pants, leggings, sweatshirts, sweaters, and dresses, while the children's mix features T's, tanks, jumpsuits, skirts, dresses, chinos, and more.
Murray says the Hilltop City was chosen as the landing spot for their brainchild because, "Summit is such a family-based town.  We have received great support from the local residents and the business community."
The shop receives new merchandise virtually every week, and are now making room for upcoming Fall / Winter inventory by offering 25% off all Summer wear.
