National Community Day for L’Oréal Benefits SAGE Eldercare Seniors

On June 21, L’Oréal employees were on hand to deliver Meals On Wheels to local residents and assist with crafts in the Spend-A-Day Adult Day Health Center as part of their nationwide day of service.

“We love having the L’Oréal employees from Berkeley Heights come to SAGE and give back on their annual community service day,” stated Marianne Kranz, Director of Volunteers at SAGE Eldercare. “We feel very fortunate when local businesses coordinate part of their volunteer efforts by helping local seniors who use SAGE’s services and programs.  More importantly, our seniors are appreciative of these efforts.”

SAGE’s Meals on Wheels, established in 1966, is the oldest MOW program in New Jersey. In 2011, approximately 500 volunteers delivered 42,593 meals to 268 people in Union County (Berkeley Heights, Mountainside, New Providence, Springfield and Summit), Essex County (Millburn and Short Hills) and Morris County (Chatham Borough and Township).  Each weekday, 20-30 volunteers are assigned 14 routes and drive a total of about 200 miles to deliver about 170 meals to 130 clients in the three counties.

Investors love to rally around a stock story. Today it’s all about the FAANG stocks. Facebook (FB), Amazon (AMZN), Apple (AAPL), Netflix (NFLX) and Google (GOOG) are a major reason why the S&P 500 rallied so much in 2017. Mr. Market is convinced the FAANGs are impervious to a sell-off. “Its different this time” is ringing loud and clear, but will the outcome really be that ...
