SUMMIT, NJ - The Division of Public Works is alerting residents to a project that has recently begun, and is ongoing, at the City of Summit Transfer Station.
A new concrete slab is being installed in the the Transfer Station's disposal area, with work scheduled to be completed by May 25.  Although the work may cause some delays, the disposal area will remain open during the project. 
Residents are advised to avoid fenced-off areas when entering the Transfer Station, and extra staff will be assigned to help in the disposal area and with traffic control. Residents with any questions or concerns should contact the Department of Community Services at 908-273-6404.
