SUMMIT, NJ - The Junior League of Summit, a non-profit, volunteer organization focusing on the areas of Summit, Chatham, Madison, New Providence and Berkeley Heights., will host a prospective new member cocktail event September 12 at 7 p.m., which will provide women potentially interested in membership with information regarding the League.

The Junior League of Summit (JLS):

  • Recently celebrated 86 years of effecting positive community change through voluntarism.
  • Opened, in 1934, The Junior League Thrift Shop is the oldest retail establishment in Summit.
  • Generated one million volunteer hours since our founding in 1929.
  • Returned $3,000,000 to the community through grant funding and scholarships.
  • Strives to cover the basic needs of the underserved in the Summit area via donations drives, discrete aid, and advocacy through GRACE.
