NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The next event in the Parent Wellness Series, 'Danger in Your Medicine Cabinet: What Every Parent Needs to Know', will take place March 15, beginning at 7 p.m., in the New Providence High School Auditorium.

This is the second year of the wellness series program, an initiative developed by the Superintendents and Student Assistance Counselors (SAC) of Summit, Chatham, Millburn, Berkeley Heights, and New Providence. The consortium committed to offering programs to families that focus on student needs in their collective communities. Each district hosts an awareness forum as part of the 'Parent Wellness Series: What You Need To Know' at their respective high school, and invites members of each of the participating communities to attend.

'Danger in Your Medicine Cabinet: What Every Parent Needs to Know' will include a video presentation spotlighting the rapid and dangerous path of addiction followed by a panel discussion with experts in the field. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions about what to look for with respect to their children, as well as the dangers surrounding current drug trends with a specific focus on prescription medications and heroin.
