SUMMIT, NJ - Its almost time for Hilltop City residents to take out their sticks, as the 2016 Summit Municipal Golf Course season is on the horizon, with Opening Day scheduled for Friday, April 1.

The Par 3, nine-hole course, known as "The Muni," to Summit golf aficionados, was designed by renowned golf architect, Hal Purdy and covers 13 acres of land that was once a private estate.

Both residents and non-residents are welcome, with Summit resident memberships beginning at $40 for the season, and non-resident memberships starting at $115. The 2016 season is expected to run through November, weather permitting.

Instructional clinics and camps for youth and adults will begin the week of April 10, with 2016 tournaments to be announced.
