SUMMIT, NJ - Four-way stops are now required at Whittredge Road and Hobart Avenue and Essex Road and Whittredge Road intersections. The addition of these four-way stops now brings the number of such intersections to three, with the other four-way stop in Summit at the intersection of Blackburn Road and Pine Grove Avenue.

According to the City of Summit, the installation of these four-way stops is "part of a comprehensive engineering effort to increase vehicle and pedestrian safety,"

The City of Summit is further asking motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to be aware of these new traffic patterns and to drive, bike and walk safely around town.
