On Wednesday, November 20 at 7 pm, the public is invited to attend a free program on “Nutrition for the Caregiver,” which is being held at SAGE Eldercare, 290 Broad Street, Summit. Susan C. Canocico, RD, Summit Medical Group, will be presenting the program.
Ms. Canocico will discuss the importance of nutrition for caregivers, as well as some simple steps to improve nutritional intake and ways to reduce stress on the body. “It’s easy for caregivers to slip into poor nutrition habits and use quick fixes for meals when caring for someone else,” noted Ms. Canocico. “I hope to give caregivers everyday advice on nutrition choices and remind the caregivers that they need take care of themselves, too.”
The presentation is being held as part of SAGE Eldercare’s P.R.E.P. (People Responsible for Elderly Persons) monthly support group meeting, which is open to the public and held at 7 pm on the third Wednesday of every month at SAGE.
