Paint-a-palooza Family Event to Kick Off Eight Decades at Art Center

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey will host Paint-a-palooza, an evening of hands-on painting projects in its galleries. Co-chaired by Sue Welch and Helaine Winer, Paint-a-palooza will be held on December 14, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Families will be welcomed with festivities and a medley of art-making projects including group painting collages and a large scalePaint the Town!’ canvas that features local Summit landmarks. Guests will also enjoy a family-friendly dinner from David Ellis Events, with juice for kids and wine and beer for parents. The event kicks off the Art Center’s year-long anniversary celebration of 80 years of excellence.

02/01/2018, 7:26 am - FD dispatched to Route 78 East Bound mile marker 47.2 for a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment and injuries. On arrival both the Springfield and Summit Fire Departments set up for extrication. The vehicle was chocked to stabilize the vehicle. EMS performed patient care. A hose line was stretched for possible fire suppression by the Berkeley Heights FD.
