Paws for a Cause: Doggy Dip at Summit Family Aquatic Center Slated for Sept. 19

Bring your four-legged friends to the first-ever Doggy Dip at the SFAC, hosted by Scotty McMuni. All are welcome!

SUMMIT, NJ – The first-ever Doggy Dip at the Summit Family Aquatic Center (SFAC) is set for September 19, with members and non-members alike able to bring their small, medium, or large dog to splash around in the leisure pool at various times throughout the morning.

The fee to attend is $10 per dog for all 2015 SFAC members, and $15 per dog for non-members. Small dogs (20 lbs. and under) will swim from 9 – 9:45 a.m., medium dogs (20 lbs. – 50 lbs.) from 10 – 10:45 a.m., and large dogs (50 lbs. and up) from 11 – 11:45 a.m.

The SFAC is located at 100 Ashwood Avenue. Event parking will be available on site.

Payment will be processed at check-in (cash only.), and all participants must bring a completed waiver with them. Waivers will also be available at check-in. Participants may begin checking in 30 minutes prior to their dog’s designated swim time.

All dogs must be accompanied by at least one owner who is 18 or older. Dogs must be 6 months of age or older. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations, and have a valid license tag.

Attendees are ask to bring their own doggy bags, toys, and treats. Additional toys and treats may be provided throughout the event. The event will also feature music and entertainment, door prizes, and more.

All event proceeds will benefit the SFAC Scholarship Fund, assisting Summit families in need with their 2016 SFAC memberships.
