SUMMIT, NJ - The life-work affirming saying goes something like this: "choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life."

In amending that adage, longtime Summit resident Kim Bredahl has added a unique, distinctly personal element.

Given Bredahl's tack in opening Summit's newest business, Revivify, a more apropos statement might be "choose something that helps someone you love, and the work will directly benefit your life."

Bredahl's 26-year-old daughter, Samantha, suffers from Lyme disease. Since her diagnosis, Bredahl has devoted herself to traveling to all points near and far -- "researching for years," she says -- to find relief for her daughter. "Once she was diagnosed things began to snowball, she experienced chronic joint and muscle pain."

Her journey led her to cryotherapy, which has had a profoundly positive impact on Samantha's wellness.

In fact, the benefits were such that Bredahl tried the treatments herself, and experienced the wellness effects first-hand.

She subsequently told her personal trainers, Evolution Fitness' Paul DeCicco and Mike Gillio, of the positive results. That conversation immediately led to another, one that centered on Bredahl, DeCicco and Gillio opening their own cryotherapy business in Summit. Fast forward and 'Revivify' was born.

Located at 316 Springfield Avenue (adjacent to -- and in the same plaza as -- Hilltop Bicycles and Vita Foods) 'Revivify' which means “to make someone strong, healthy, or active again," offers myriad therapeutic services designed to trigger specific reactions, mechanisms, enzymes, and hormones. This approach can be a powerful and more natural option since one's own body is trying to heal or 'revivify' itself.

Services include whole body and local cryotherapy, a far and near infrared sauna pod, pneumatic compression and stretching to relieve many of today's common and uncommon health conditions.

Examples of ways in which the body can be revivified through their services include:

- Areas of Recovery from Injury

- Autoimmune and Chronic Diseases and Conditions

- Sports Performance

- Recovery from Exercise

- Health and Wellness Benefits

- Aesthetics Benefits

Revivify offers four core services:

Whole body and local cryotherapy designed to stimulate the body to regenerate itself naturally. This regeneration can help reduce chronic pain and fatigue, speed recovery from injuries, improve sports performance and improve many other aspects of one's health.

Jade Infrared Sauna Pod

The infrared jade sauna provides both near and far infrared light, helping to naturally treat, without drugs or invasive treatments, multiple health problems.

Pneumatic Compression

The pneumatic compression sleeves are designed to promote and enhance recovery from intense exercise and competition, reducing muscle stiffness and soreness, improving flexibility, and improving circulation.

Full-body stretching to improves joint range of motion, reduces the discomfort caused by stiff muscles, and improves sports performance.

Many of the services last less than 10 minutes, with consistent sessions building to cumulative benefits.
