SUMMIT, NJ - Reeves-Reed Arboretum will lead an excursion to the 2018 Philadelphia Flower Show, 'Wonders of Water' -- deemed by the Arboretum to be a 'top destination" and a "must experience" -- March 8. Chartered buses will leave the Hilltop City's Grand Summit Hotel at 8:30 a.m. and depart the Show at 3 p.m.
'Wonders of Water' will celebrates the beauty and life-sustaining intersection of horticulture and water, showcasing the astounding plants that thrive in various environments, from exquisite orchids and flowering vines to luminescent desert blooms. America’s leading floral and garden designers spend more than a year planning, planting, primping and pruning the exhibits that will transform an empty space into a beautiful oasis of color and life.
The Entrance Garden, a design interpretation inspired by the most astonishing and varied ecosystems on the planet-the magnificent rain forests- will offer a canopy of lush greenery, towering trees, tiny mosses, hanging flowers and creeping, playful vines that will instantly transport visitors into a modern and imaginative jungle of color and sound.
Tickets, priced at $80 for Reeves-Reed Arboretum members and $95 for non-members, are available by visiting reeves-reedarboretum.org. Seating is limited and paid reservations are required. Buses will depart from the Grand Summit Hotel, located at 570 Springfield Avenue.
