SUMMIT, NJ - While some opted for the backyard barbecue and others matriculated to The Shore, dozens of Summit Soccer Club families postponed their Memorial Day Weekend traditions and headed to area soccer tournaments. The Summit Soccer Club was no exception, and they mined gold at both the long running Cougar Soccer tournament in Maplewood as well as the STA tournament in Morris Plains.

Summit City won the gold bracket of the 36th annual Cougar Soccer Club Memorial Day Tournament. The U-11 Boys beat the hosts to start the tournament before battling to a draw with Centercourt FC from Gillette. 'City' then beat World Class FC from Orangetown, NY, in the final game to ensure victory. Summit City’s defense was stout conceding only two goals in three games.
