Project Yellow Ribbon

You could show your support for the men and women who defend our country by tying a yellow ribbon on a tree near your home. Pictured is Bob V of the Weichert Summit office proudly displaying a yellow ribbon on his favorite tree.

Weichert, Realtors’ Summit Office  has joined forces with local American Legion post #322 to show support for the troops, veterans and their families in the weeks leading up to Memorial Day.

In advance of the upcoming Summit Street Fair, which is scheduled for Sunday, April 29th, the two organizations are extending an invitation to the local community to stop by the Weichert booth and pick-up a free yellow ribbon to tie around a tree in front of their home or place of business.

“As a company, we try to give back to the neighborhoods we serve,” said Timothy O’Shea, Manager of the Summit office.  “And this includes all of the troops, veterans and their families that live and work in the community. These people have sacrificed so much that we feel this is the least we can do to show our support for all they do in the weeks lead up to Memorial Day – a day we should also all fly the American Flag.”

The Summit office of Weichert, Realtors will be distributing ribbons their booth at the Summit Street Fair on April 29th and Post #322 of the American Legion will be doing the same at their booth during The Annual Fish Fry on May 19th. Ribbons will also be available at the Weichert Office at 474 Morris Avenue, or call 908-277-1200 for more information.
