SUMMIT, NJ - They are known for putting out blazes and keeping the Hilltop City safe, but now some of Summit's firefighters are getting ready to set the runway on fire.

That is because Family and Children's Services is getting set to adorn the red carpet with the latest fashions when it presents the 5th Annual Red Carpet Party at the Canoe Brook Country Club on March 2.

The evening will feature a fashion show showcasing haute couture hot off the runway of New York Fashion Week from designer Sareh Nouri of New York, as well as Millburn-Short Hills retailers Bloomingdale’s, Schultz & M. Blaustein and Dressed by Lori.

Although the ladies’ fashions will be showcased, the true stars of the runway will be the Summit Fire Department Firefighters, who will model tuxedos from Coleman's in Millburn.

“Men’s fashions are a new segment to our fashion show this year, and we are extremely excited to have the Summit Firemen join us on the runway," said Leslie Patrizio, the event's producer.

The evening begins with cocktails at 7 p.m. followed by dinner and the fashion show. Tickets are priced at $100 per person and can be purchased by visiting 501auctions.com.  For more information regarding the event, contact Leslie Patrizio at lpatrizio@facsnj.org.
