SUMMIT, NJ - Registration for FLASH, the Summit Public Schools' popular summer youth program is currently underway, with preferred fees -- for those who register and pay -- in effect through May 1. A program information session, enabling attendees to learn more about the program, ask questions, and register, will be held March 30, from 6 - 7 p.m. at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School.

This year, the FLASH program will offer:

  • Sports Academy - A four-day sports clinic for Basketball, Field Hockey, Softball, Volleyball and, for the first time, soccer.

  • FLASH Jr. - Five specially-designed courses to engage and excite students entering second and third grades, including. a new course -- 'Kid-Lit Creations'.

  • FLASH - Students entering grades 4 - 8 choose five courses from an extensive collection of classes.

  • Lion King Jr. - Theater workshop production

  • STEM Week
