Ridge Run: Summit H.S. Speech and Debate Team Crowned Tourney Champs Again

Getting used to this: Summit High School has claimed First Place at each of the five local Speech and Debate tournaments this year.
SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit High School Speech and Debate Team kept right on rolling at the Ridge Invitational tournament, capturing another First Place Sweepstakes title. With the win, the Hilltopper team sets a record by claiming First Place at each of the five local tournaments this year.
Taking top spot out of 46 schools that competed at Ridge, Summit also brought home five individual first-place finishes, including a 1-2-3-4-5 sweep in Duo Interpretation.
The team will next compete at its final local tournament in Elizabeth February 6 before engaging more than 300 teams at Harvard University -- the largest national circuit tournament in the country -- February 13-16.
