SUMMIT, NJ - The Rotary Club of Summit and New Providence, partnering with the American Red Cross, will sponsor a blood drive January 18, from 1-6 p.m., as part of the Hilltop City's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.
The need for blood donations is especially high in January when many
regular donors are unavailable due to winter colds, and the number of blood
drives has been reduced due to the holidays.
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service blood drive will be held Christ Church, located at 561 Springfield Avenue, with advance appointments available and preferred to reduce waiting times and allow the Red Cross to schedule appropriate staffing levels.
Walk-in donors age 16+ are welcome.
