SUMMIT, NJ - Summit Public Schools Director of Secondary Education Donna D'Acunto has tendered her resignation and will not be returning from maternity / family leave. D'Acunto was named to the newly-created post in June of 2016, when the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction role was split into two positions.

According to Superintendent of Schools June Chang, an immediate search has begun for D'Acunto's full-time replacement.

During her absence, D'Acunto's responsibilities have been handled by consultant Brian Chinni, who was approved at the December 15 Board of Education meeting for up to 18 days of employment at $550 per day. Chinni has experience in working with curriculum and instruction, is a retired Supervisor of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Montvale, and is currently Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Graduate Program Director of MA in Educational Leadership at Ramapo College of New Jersey.
