Shark Diddy’s Birthday Bash- New Date – Inviting All Kids

Shark Diddy and McMuni dance with Allie Cirigliano at BreakwaterBeach Waterpark in Seaside Heights, NJ. They were celebrating theirmascot Slider’s 6th Birthday. Slider will come to Diddy’s Birthday Bash too.!

Shark Diddy is the Summit Family Aquatic Center’s very popular mascot. For the past three years, he has served as the inspiration for the Summit Sharks Swim Team, the popular host of a variety of special events and the favorite teacher at Sharkey’s Swim School.  In three short years, Shark Diddy has become a community icon. He has visited City Hall, presided over many a party and luau and been an exciting addition to the facility. In honor of his third birthday, all kids who would like to attend his party are FREE on Monday, July 25, 2011. The party starts at 2 PM and will end at 4PM. No membership is required. Children under 11 years of age, must be with an adult. Adults guests will pay $8.00. No charge for members. This is an unusual event for an unusual character. It’s also a great way to get to the Summit Family Aquatic Center without a membership. Membership is limited to residents of Summit and their paid guests. For this event,no member is needed.

Mascots from around New  Jersey have been invited to attend. Mascots from Breakwater Beach Waterpark, New Jersey Devils, Somerset Patriots, Kings Supermarket, William Paterson University,Summit Municipal Golf Course and others will celebrate with Shark Diddy in a Mascot Parade. Kings Supermarket has donated 500 cupcakes to help to make the day even more fun. Carnival Games, Mr. Fun, a bounce house and a dance party are planned. Swimming and sliding are also the order of the day in the two fabulous pools and slides at the Family Aquatic Center. Kings Supermarket’s Kingsly will be on hand to celebrate as well.  It’s King’s 75th birthday here in Summit. Summit is the home of their very first store.

The Summit Family Aquatic Center is located at 100 Ashwood Avenue, Summit. For more information call the Department of Community Programs at 908-277-2932. In the event of rain, the entire event will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011.
