Members of the Summit High School Advanced Theatre class will present their annual 'Directors Showcase' April 28, beginning at 3:30 p.m. The free event showcases 60 high school actors in six, half-plays that were selected, edited, cast, directed, and produced by the advanced students.
Two professional actors, Ismenia Mendes and Michael Benjamin Washington, will critique the plays immediately following the final performance.
This year's plays, which will run every 45 minutes, include Brighton Beach Memoirs, directed by Grace Milsten and Annika Carlson; Lost Boy, directed by Katherin Recio, Claire Fitzpatrick, and Keegan McManus; Women and Wallace, directed by Sarah Competiello, Catie Floegel, Sydney Giusto, and Nick Della Sala; Retail Rage, directed by Bella Anidjar, Ben Errig, and Elise Molleur; Beauty Queens, directed by Jess Jilla, Anne Borzner, Savannah Dooley, and Gerard Apruzzese; and 13 - the Musical, directed by Sean McManus, Hope Kovera, Jackie Gray, and Maginnis Buckley.
