SUMMIT, NJ - A single-vehicle crash, near 152 Passaic Avenue in Summit, has resulted in the closure of Passaic Avenue, southbound between Kent Place Boulevard and River Road. The incident, which occurred at approximately 10:12 p.m. on March 30, also caused a power outage to 22 Summit residences

No injuries were reported and, while power was restored in the morning hours of March 31, as of 12:30 p.m. southbound Passaic Avenue was still shuttered and there was no timeframe available for its reopening, per the Summit Police Department.

This is the second single-car accident on this stretch of Passaic Avenue in the past 70 days, following a crash on January 24.
