Grace Bebout, Natalie Herr, Bebe Totman, and Kate Griffith flank Operation Smile's Natalie Burk (center), their smiles fitting recognition of the fact Summit High School's Operation Smile Club presented Burk with a $10,000 check for the organization which inspired the Club's creation.
Operation Smile is an international medical charity that has provided hundreds of thousands of free surgeries for children and young adults in developing countries who are born with cleft lip, cleft palate or other facial deformities.
The Club's gift was presented the same night as their 11th Annual "Styles For Smiles" Fashion Show, which included a silent auction and featured 24 students modeling couture, including many designs from Summit High School Student Kira Ross' line of clothing, entitled "While She Walks by Kira Ross."
The 60-student strong Operation Smile Club meets once a month in the morning before school, along with their advisor, Adam Leaman. In addition to their fundraising efforts, Club members have traveled abroad to volunteer with the organization.
