Special Savings Offer on Summer Wonder Camp at the Art Center in Summit


For a limited time, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey in Summit is offering a savings promotion in conjunction with its popular summer art camp. Now through June 15, parents who sign their child or teen up for a week of camp will receive a $40 gift certificate that can be used for a future Visual Arts Center class or workshop.

Summer Wonder Camp is open to children (5-12) and teens (13-16). Campers are placed in groups based on age. Children will explore the visual arts by creating their own art projects using media and techniques including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and three-dimensional work. They are guided by our faculty of professional art educators in creating up to 10 projects each week. Camp begins on June 26 and is offered on a weekly basis through August 31. Each week has a different theme – sign up for one week or several, every week will provide a unique experience. If your child is already committed to other activities but still wants to explore their creativity this summer, Saturday camp is also available.

Studio School Director Libby Clarke is enthusiastic about this year’s camp. “I want our Art Camp to enable your child to experience creative fun, challenges, and adventure so thoroughly that they experience WONDER. We want them to lose all track of time because they are fully absorbed, taking risks, and coming to a whole new understanding of themselves and the world through art. We have a great summer ahead of us!”

This special end of school savings is available for a limited time only, offer expires on June 15.

For your convenience, early drop-off is available from 8:30 – 10 AM for an additional fee. Register by phone at 908-273-9121, online at, or in person at the Art Center. The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey is located at 68 Elm Street in Summit and is open seven days a week.

01/01/2018 9:26 am     FD dispatched to a motor vehicle accident, car vs. pole in front of 196 GLENSIDE AVENUE.  On arrival occupant was out of the vehicle.  Summit EMS assumed patient contact. FD made notification to the power company to make repairs.  Summit PD remained on scene for traffic control and road closure until repairs were made.
