Spring Break Events at The Summit Area YMCA

With Spring Break just around the corner, make the most of your time off by joining us at some of the Summit Area YMCA’s many free events being offered all week long! There’s something for everyone!

MONDAY, APRIL 10TH

Slime Workshop

Sign Up for E-News

Teens are invited to join us to make ooey, gooey slime at the Y! In this workshop, learn the simple ingredients it takes to make the green gook everyone loves! Snacks provided. Event takes place from 12:30-2:30 PM at the Summit YMCA Teen Center.

Teen Painting Party

If you love to paint, this workshop is for you! We’ll have all our supplies out and ready, from canvas to smaller works of art, you’re welcome to come paint them all! Snacks provided. Event takes place from 12:30-2:30PM at the Summit YMCA.

Summit YMCA – Dine & Give Back at Piattino Restaurant in Summit, NJ

THURSDAY, APRIL 13TH

Free Karate Kids Demonstration

Come check out a free demonstration class where kids ages 6+ will learn basic martial arts and self –defense techniques in a positive, healthy environment. It’s a great way to see if your child might like to sign up for the Y’s Spring 2 session karate class. Two time sessions will be offered: 4:00-4:45 PM and 4:45-5:30 PM at the Summit YMCA.

FRIDAY, APRIL 14TH

Spring Break – Special Needs Gym
We invite anyone from our community who has a special need and their family/caregiver to join us at the Summit YMCA from 1:00-2:00 PM for some fun, active play with our gym equipment, parachute, balls and and more. Please wear sneakers.

Summit Helping Its People (SHIP)- Helping Those In Need.

Summit Area YMCA’s Togetherhood program is partnering with SHIP to help volunteers serve and cook a meal for the less fortunate members of our community. Event takes place at the Oakes Center, 120 Morris Ave, Summit NJ from 2:30PM-4:45PM.
