Spring Registration Now Ongoing at The Connection

Registration for the Spring Session at The Connection is now ongoing! The Spring Session runs from April 3 - June 18 for children and continues to June 25 for adults.  

Infants and toddlers from 6 months to 3 years of age can learn and explore new skills in The Connection’s Parent/Child classes.  Let your little one get their groove on in “Movers and Shakers”. This fun filled class is action packed full of music, dance, games, and imagination. This class will encourage independence from their caregiver while working on gross motor skills, musicality, and following directions. New this spring at The Connection is “Youngster Yoga” for children ages 2-4 and their parents- Partner with your youngster in simple poses, games, and breathing exercises that help to strengthen coordination and build body awareness! Other Parent/Child classes include “Jungle Fun”, “Little Musicians”, “STEAM Explorers”, “Messy Play”, “Tumbling Tots”, “You & Me Dance” and “Kids In Action”.

With a variety of specialty classes offered, children are sure to find one they love.  New this session, kids ages 6-8 can get a start on computer programming with the “Scratch Jr.” class. With Scratch Jr, young children can program their own interactive stories and games, learning to solve problems and express themselves creatively on the computer in the process.  Students can download this free application and bring it with them on an iPad (minimally iPad 2 with iOS 7.0) or Android tablet (7-in or larger, Android 4.2 or higher). Other specialty classes offered this spring include:  “Cooking- Comfort Foods”, “Strategic Games”, Kids Yoga, Karate, “Tinker with STEAM”, “Edible STEAM”, “Full STEAM Ahead”, and many more!

Dancers can choose from Ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, or “Lights, Camera, Action”. Gymnasts can improve their skills and learn new techniques in The Connections state-of-the-art gym. Children can continue strengthening their swim skills all year long at The Connection’s indoor pool. Trained instructors provide swim lessons for children and adults of all ages!  Parent/Child, Preschool, School-Age, and Adult Learn to Swim Classes provide age appropriate water safety and stroke development skills for participants of all abilities!

Adults can enjoy their favorite fitness classes returning this spring, including: TRX Circuit, Yoga, Pilates, Cardio Kickboxing, Cross-Training, Tai Chi, Barre Sculpt, Reiki Healing Circle, Strength Training for Osteoporosis, and more! Dancers will love The Connection’s adult Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Ballroom, Belly Dancing, Lyrical Jazz, and more. The Connection offers 70 adult fitness classes weekly to help ensure everyone will find a class they love at a time that fits their busy schedule.   Adult fitness classes are FREE to Total Facility Members, in addition to the use of the pool and fitness center.
