Stella Spotts Named All-American, Helen Louise Johnson Academic All-American as Summit High Girls Lacrosse Team Members Reap Post-Season Accolades

SUMMIT, NJ - Stella Spotts was named a US Lacrosse All-American and Helen Louise Johnson earned Academic All-American honors, part of a slew of individual awards bestowed upon Summit High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team members as post-season awards were handed out.

Spotts, a shut-down defender also contributed in the midfield as the Hilltoppers captured the Stars & Stripes Conference, South Division, the North Jersey, Group III Sectional Title and were crowned Champions NJSIAA Group III State Champions.

Summit completed its season with a 19-3 record and finished as high as fourth in state rankings.

Johnson, already s standout performer, was a revelation this past season, especially in the final half of the season when her individual performance served as the catalyst for several big comebacks and wins.

In addition to Spotts and Johnson, senior captains Cecily Stabler and Maddie Collins were named First Team, All-Conference - Stars and Stripes, South Division.
