Stepping Up to the Plate, Summit Readies to Host Ninth Annual Restaurant Week July 20-30

SUMMIT, NJ - It's so big that it is a week that will last 10 days.

Summit’s Ninth Annual Restaurant Week will begin Thursday, July 20 and run through Sunday, July 30, and feature more than .30 restaurants and food shops offering prix fixe menus and specials. Restaurant Week will begin with a 'Kick-Off Night' July 20, which will include live music throughout downtown from 6-9 p.m. with select restaurants holding prize drawings.

A continually updated list of participating establishments and their menus/specials is available by visiting summitdowntown.org.

Restaurants offering $25 prix fixe menus include: The HAT Tavern, Jenny's Japanese Cuisine, La Pastaria, Negeen Persian Grill, Summit Diner, Summit Thai Cuisine, The Bombay Bistro, The Committed Pig and Winberie's Restaurant & Bar

Restaurants offering $35 prix fixe menus: Batavia Café ($35 for 2 people), Marco Polo Tavern & Restaurant, Rosalita Mexican, and Summit Greek Grill ($35 for two people).

Restaurants offering $45 prix fixe menus:Piattino: A Neighborhood Bistro, Huntley Taverne and Roots Steakhouse.

Restaurants and shops offering specials: The Office Tavern Grill, Ahrre's Coffee Roastery, Brownie Points Bakery, Doria's Pizzeria Restaurant, DÚE 360, Edible Arrangements, Hill City Deli, Manhattan Bagel, Saimona Wine and Liquor, Subway, Summit House, The Eatery, The Juice Caboose, The Meat House, Tito's Burritos & Wings, Village Trattoria of Summit, Zappia's Brick Oven, and Zappia's Delicatessen & Caterers.

Summit Downtown, Inc. will be sponsoring a "Restaurant Week Photo Contest." Patrons can snap a picture of their "delicious dish" at a participating establishment during Restaurant Week and e-mail it to sdiphotocontest@gmail.com by August 1 for a chance to win $100. 

Entrants must include your name, where the photo was taken, and a brief description. All photos will be posted on the Summit Downtown, Inc., with two winners chosen. Melanie Cohn, Executive Director of the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, will choose the Best in Show winner. The photo with the most combined likes on Facebook and Instagram will also win $100. There is a limit of three entries per person.
