SUMMIT, NJ -  James Strabley had four goals and three assists, powering the Summit High School Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team to a convincing 13-3 win over Lakeland.  With the win, Summit advances to play Northern Highlands in the sectional final, May 24 at Investors Bank Field.

Summit surrendered the first goal of the game 90 seconds into the match, but roared back to score the next four.  Connor Murphy, who notched a Hat Trick, took a feed from John Cordrey after defender James Tully had created a turnover.
Consecutive goals from Cordrey made it 3-1 Summit, the first coming unassisted and the second off a feed from Strabley.  Murphy, also taking a pass from Strabley, closed out the first quarter scoring by making it 4-1.

After Lakeland scored to make it 4-2, Strabley scored two goals, each assisted by Cordrey.  Halftime arrived with Summit leading 6-2.

The Hilltoppers owned the third quarter, outscoring Lakeland 5-0 in the frame to run the count to 11-2.  Andrew Chase, Murphy, Riley Flynn, Chris Zanelli, and Strabley all were on target, with the score line finally catching up with -- and reflecting -- Summit's dominance.

Strabley and Zanelli each scored in the fourth, with each player serving as the provider on their teammate's goal.  Sam Bebout had a relatively leisurely afternoon thanks, in large part, to Summit's possession dominance driven by Brian Hadley's work at "the X".  Hadley won 14 out of 15 face-offs on the afternoon.
