SUMMIT , NJ - The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey will, beginning in September, launch a new series of exhibitions featuring artwork from members and students received through an open call process available to the more than 800 current members of the Center.

Those submitting were required to present a formal proposal, with exhibiting artists chosen by the Art Center's Membership Committee. The resulting exhibitions will run consecutively from September through June of 2018 in the Art Center’s community spaces on the second floor.

“It's exciting to be able to offer artists the chance to exhibit,” says Melanie Cohn, Executive Director. “The Art Center is known for nurturing New Jersey’s creative community, and this new program—led by a dedicated group of our members—is our newest way of giving talented local artists a well-deserved opportunity while also helping them hone their professional skills.“
