Salon Capelli co-proprietors Jodi Smith and Lori Solomine join Pathways Director, Lesley Andrews (center), and her son Ryan at the first annual Cut-A-Thon held at the Hilltop City salon.

Solomine and Smith hosted the event, with all proceeds from cut, style and blow-out services benefiting Pathways, a program of The Connection for Women and Families that, for more than two decades, has created an oasis of hope for women with a history of cancer.

Summit Library Closed May 28-29 for Memorial Day

The Summit Free Public Library will be closed on Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.

The library hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,and 1 - 5 p.m. on Sundays.
