Summer Camp Open House at The Connection Set for Jan. 22

Choosing a camp is an important decision for families to make, but it doesn’t need to be a difficult one. To help make the decision easier, The Connection is offering a Summer Camp Open House on Sunday, January 22 from 1:30-3:30pm to introduce their exciting changes for summer 2017. Stop by and let the kids experience the “Camp Sampler” including camp activities, free swim (2-3:30pm) and face painting. There will be plenty of fun for kids, lots of information for parents, free giveaways, and a “sign up early and save” option.

New for 2017, The Connection is offering a half or full day camp option for 3 year olds. The “Guppies” have a room of their own with activities such as art, swim lessons, gym and STEAM specially designed for their age. They will be able to try new things, develop cause and effect skills and stimulate their curious minds, led by an experienced State Certified Early Childhood Teacher.

Also new for 2017, the Theater Camp has added an option for children ages 9+.  As part of the “Stars On Stage” camp (a 2-week theater camp where participants learn and perform a show), more experienced campers will prepare for the performance through advanced singing, dancing, and acting rotations in the new “Rising Stars” camp.  “Backstage Pass” camp will also be offered again this year for campers who love to be creative through art and design- campers will design and create sets, costumes, props, staging and more for the “Stars on Stage” performance! Shows for 2017 include: Beauty and the Beast, Shrek, Aladdin and School of Rock.
