SUMMIT, NJ - Reeves-Reed Arboretum (RRA) has partnered with the Newark Museum to host 'Flowers in Art!', a lecture about nature -- in particular flowers -- in paintings, sculpture, folk art, decorative arts and in jewelry, May 4 at 7 p.m.

Held at Wisner House on the RRA grounds, 'Flowers in Art!' will highlight paintings and drawings from Colonial botanical explorers to modern artists, addressing the aesthetic and cultural priorities reflected by the artists’ unique vision. The presentation will be Newark Museum volunteer Judi Robinson, formerly a Summit third grade teacher.

'Flowers in Art!' is offered free to RRA members, $10 to non-members. Each attendee will receive a Newark Museum packet which includes a free pass to the Museum good for six months. To reserve attendance, visit reeves-reedarboretum.org, or call 908-273-8787, ext. 1010.
