Summit Area YMCA Hosts 'Open House' Events at Hilltop City, Berkeley Heights YMCA Locations Jan. 7

SUMMIT, NJ - As part of a statewide wellness initiative designed to promote positive personal change and community health, the Summit YMCA and Berkeley Heights YMCA will host open house events January 7.

Statistics indicated that less than one-fourth of those making 'New Year's resolutions' keep those commitments, and the fact remains that creating personal change takes both effort and support. To encourage individuals and families to make their resolutions a reality, YMCAs across the state annually come together to promote healthy living in their individual communities.

“The Y is a community that supports individuals and families in reaching their goals,” said Paul Kieltyka, CEO & President of the Summit Area YMCA. “Y staff and volunteers are sincere about helping members in building endurance, losing weight, and strengthening your heart. When you join the Y, you’re committing to more than simply becoming healthier. You are supporting the values and programs that strengthen your community.”
