I want to thank Nathan Parker and the entire Board of Ed for hearing the differing points of view on Planned Parenthood's involvement in our school curriculum. You've been patient, responsive, and fair to all parties, and you should be commended for that. If ever there were a thankless job, being on the Board of Ed is it.

At this stage, I ask that you continue to hold the line with respect to the sex ed curriculum in the public schools. I implore you to continue to demonstrate the moral courage to stand by the decisions you've already made with regard to this instruction. No minority of vocal opponents, and certainly no church, should sway your position. The quiet and reasonable majority of parents in this town, most of whom don't relish ugly confrontations and thus did not attend this past week's Board of Education meeting, support this view. Please continue to stand by us.
