Summit Boys Lacrosse Overpowers Passaic Valley in State Tournament

SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit boys lacrosse team scored 17 goals in the first half en route to an 18-0 victory over Passaic Valley in Saturday's NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 2 first-round matchup at InvestorsBank Field.

Summit's Austin Carbone recorded eight points, including four goals and four assists. A total of 11 Hilltoppers scored, including two goals from four separate players. Jack Kalin, Chris Laughlin, Liam Menning and Jack Radutzky all scored a pair of goals for Summit.

The section's No. 1 seed scored 11 times in the first 12 minutes. Summit added six in the second before giving way to the reserve players for the final 24 minutes.

The Hilltoppers will host No. 8 Ramapo in the section quarterfinals on Tuesday. Ramapo defeated No. 5 River Dell, 14-5, in its first-round game on Saturday.

Tuesday's start time has not been determined.
