SUMMIT, NJ - Twenty-six volunteers, representing the faith communities that comprise the Summit GreenFaith Circle, gathered April 19 to clean up Hidden Valley Park as part of the Hilltop City's Earth Day activities.

The Summit GreenFaith Circle -- which includes Christ Church, Unitarian Church of Summit, Central Presbyterian Church, Congregation Ohr Shalom - Summit Jewish Community Center, Interweave, and the United Methodist Church -- was formed to educate congregations and citizens about ways to be more "Earth friendly," both in their houses of worship and at home.
In honor of Earth Day, members of the Congregation Ohr Shalom - Summit Jewish Community Center  Men's Club worked under the direction of the Summit Environmental Commission to improve Passaic River Park. Volunteers built a bench and a kiosk, and removed invasive plants.
